TRAKTIVIST RADIO - EP 044 w TEAM TRAKTIVIST

This Thurs 5pm, get to know TEAM TRAKTIVIST, including our newest volunteers! Within just one year, we’ve gone from four people to almost thirty on our team! We have team members not just from Southern California, but also the SF Bay Area and as far reaching as Thailand and Malaysia! One of the best parts of this work is being able to do it with others who share the vision and passion about the music that is made from our Asian American community. Learn about each of us as we talk about why we joined TRAKTIVIST, what artists & songs inspired our interest into music made by Asian Americans, and why we push for more diversity and representation in music.

We interview rising singer and rapper LATE.! We explore his life journey moving from South Korea to the United States at 9 years old, some of the challenges of pursuing music as a career, especially with the initial discouragement from his parents, both who are professional musicians themselves. LATE. also shares about the two difficult years when he first joined the music industry and dealing with many people who took advantage of his art.
