SXSW 2017 1280x720

The SXSW Music Festival is one of the largest and most influential global music industry events of the year, taking place this March 13 – 19 in Austin, Texas.

Here is a playlist of Asian Americans performing at this year's festival!

sxswmusic1-1We'd also like to especially highlight the FIRST ASIAN AMERICAN MUSIC SHOWCASE organized by community partners at Kollaboration! Taking place on Thursday, March 16 at Lambert’s Downtown Barbeque, the 2017 lineup include Run River North, Megan Lee, Big Phony, and Melissa Polinar! In addition, they will be hosting an incredible panel, “Asian Americans Break the Silence & Stereotypes,” that will take place during SXSW Interactive on Sunday, March 12 at 5pm and will feature a discussion between Kollaboration Executive Director Minji Chang and a panel made up of Phil Yu (Angry Asian Man), Jenny Yang (Disoriented Comedy), and Dante Basco (Hook, Avatar)!
